The Acme Food Bank is a valued community service that helps ensure individuals and families in the
Acme area have access to nutritious food when they need a little extra support. The food bank is
operated by dedicated local volunteers who generously give their time to help neighbors in our
community.
The success of the Acme Food Bank depends on the generosity of local residents, businesses,
organizations and other supporters. Donations are gratefully accepted throughout the year. Cash or
cheque donations can be made through the Village of Acme, which also can provide a charitable tax
receipt. Cheque donations are to be made payable to the Acme Community Food Bank. Non-perishable
food donations are also welcome and can be arranged by contacting a member of the Food Bank
Committee.
For anyone in our community, (Acme and Swalwell) who needs assistance, food hampers are available.
Those wishing to receive a hamper are asked to contact a member of the Acme Food Bank Committee.
Hamper pick up is arranged at the Acme Curling Rink.
The Acme Food Bank is an excellent example of neighbors helping neighbors. Through the kindness of
donors and the commitment of volunteers, our community continues to support those who may be
facing challenging circumstances.
